Our firm is a partnership because it is the best way to harness the potential of our team and deliver superior results.  We all share in decision-making and in the rewards our work produces.  Even so, one person must assume the responsibility of leadership, providing overall direction and serving as the ultimate point of contact for our clients. That is the role of our founder and managing partner, Charles S. Jacobs.

For over two decades, he has used the insights of brain science to produce the results clients need.  As the founder of the Amherst Consulting Group, he served as an advisor to the management of over fifty of the Fortune 100, and worked in Europe, Asia, and the U.S.  Under his leadership, Amherst grew an average of 60% a year.

When the firm was acquired by a billion dollar technology services company, Charles took the opportunity to research the recent developments in neuroscience, and is the author of Management Rewired:  Why Feedback Doesn’t Work and Other Surprising Lessons from the Latest Brain Science.  Our Rapid Transformation ProcessSM is based on his groundbreaking work.

He completed his B.A., M.A., and work toward a PhD at the University of Michigan.  He lives in Boston, Massachusetts, with his wife and two daughters.
